Retaliation

I was working at a Wendy's and .y manager finally let me off for break. I thought of what to do for lunch but I was in a rush cause I had already wasted 10 min of my break. I walked out and everything was dark and the buildings were dark as well, except for one. I walked over to it and when I went inside it was an absolute mess. There was a massive hole in the floor and there was debri all around. Two teenage boys around my age (16) looked up at me and said hey. I just watched for a second and then asked "You need some help with that?" They both very enthusiastically said "YES". I got down into the hole and had no idea what to do cause I wasn't familiar with anything that was down there. They get out and all of a sudden I hear "It's back on!!" I get up and look outside and sure enough, the stores were bright again, but there was a group of people coming straighht for us and that worried me. I walked up slowly to the front of the small room I was in. When the group arrived they seemed to be friendly with the boys so I walked up and the leader of the group recognized me and came over to me. She said very seriously "we need to take a walk". As we walked she talked about my mother as if she were some warrior. But what really hit was that I was told my mom had fallen and her secret destroyed. As I thought on it my dream shifted to be through my mom's eyes. I was in my house and seemed very worried and angry. I rushed to my mom's room and there was a warm light coming from the closet. As I opened the drapes in front of it I saw that something was on fire but it was very small patches so I blew them out quickly. Then I saw a hole in the floor but this one wasn't destroyed like the one I saw back at the shop. In fact this one was filled with odd technology and a seat right in the middle.I couldn't see anything when I walked in the closet but I managed to find the seat and when I did there was a red light and everything came to life. The machine connected itself to me as if to sync with my body. The feeling of being connected to whatever it was was incredible. Sadly that's where it ended.
