Opossum in the closet

We were getting ready to move and had packed everything up except the bathrooms. I went in my bathroom and some home stumbled across a latch that opened the bathroom up into this closet that I never knew was there. It was a large closet, and it was dusty. There were lots of shelves and cabinets so I started opening them up and finding old luggage, jigsaw puzzles, books, records, etc. I called my mom in there and we started going through it all, and realizing that someone had probably left this stuff on accident. We then stumbled upon old pictures that must have been the family with names on the back, so we made a plan to try to track them down. As we started to open a new cabinet, we heard an animal sound from behind some metal bars in one of the cubbie holes. We stepped back from fear and then saw a opossum type creature trying to claw its way out of the cubbie from behind the bars. It was making an awful screeching sound and even though it looked like an opossum, it was about twice the size of one, and was black in color. It finally got out from behind the bars and headed towards us as we ran out of the room. We made it to the front door and flung it open, allowing my small chihuahua to run outside and down the stairs (apartment building) out of fear. The neighbors were standing there looking at us like wtf, so we started to explain. We thought the opossum had gone out so we went back inside only to find it still in the living room and eating a plate of pizza that had been left on the table. That’s when I woke up. If you’ve read this far, I always look up the meaning to certain key parts of a dream. Clearly I am on some path of discovery in life, depicted by the hidden room of what I would consider treasures. Then stumbling upon a wild opossum represents a person in my life who is not what they seem or is envious of you. I obviously don’t know who that might be yet, however I just started a new job so time will tell.
