I am covering a set of ghost news stories for work. A man with the city wants to help families build some kind of tomb/headstone type grave for their loved ones. It’s during the day and I’m leaving my first interview to talk to him. I walk through a government building and pass a church style room. There is a family, hysterical, doing some kind of ritual to honor their loved one. It’s not spooky or anything, and it feels as if someone from the city or a religious person is helping them grieve/mourn. I walk outside to a small square tent and I speak with my interviewee. It’s one of those white, canvas style tents used commonly for festivals and public events We walk inside and he shows me this altar thing. It seems like a stone book atop an altar or some setup that is also stone. He remarks at something, I agree, and we hear a voice that says, “I know, right?” I recall something paranormal happening in the interview I just came from. I don’t deny the spectral voice and we chat some more before leaving the tent. He takes something, maybe some equipment on a trolley table setup, chatting along the way and pushes it into the building, not struggling, but opening the door and holding it open wide enough to get his equipment in. We go our separate ways, and I walk back through the chapel I previously went through, but the ceremony with the family is over and I continue on to whatever assignment I have next.
