Last night, I had a strange dream. I received a pair of chunky pink sneaker boots with wheels at the bottom, seemingly for Christmas. They looked like Moon Boots, but had lots of hard plastic components. I went out to go try them, and started in a busy street. Some people reacted positively, while others made jeering or judgmental comments as I drifted by. I remember an especially harsh elderly couple. I turned the corner, and there was a very wide street on a downward slope with graceful curves. It was perfect. It must have been some sort of park, because I had to dodge benches as I zoomed down (this became a sort of game) and there were fenced grassy areas. I was crouched and hugging a pillow as I swiftly rode down, not going too fast, and was wearing black flared pants with white contrast stitching at the hem, looking very 90s with the huge bubblegum shoes peeking underneath. For some reason, I could not let go of the pillow I was hugging as I rode--it was crucial to my balance. Anytime I tried to leave it behind, I nearly fell, so I continued to hug it. Some people were at the park, and they kept telling me I looked like Eleven from the show "Stranger Things." I was confused by this, and ignored it. Some promotion lady was behind the fence in one of the grassy areas, shouting at me about a bar tending/serving job she was recruiting for, saying, "You can make a living by serving people!" This made me reflect on my own restaurant job, and how miserable it makes me, so I ignored her as well. I made it to the end, and it was a beautiful visitor center with a gorgeous vista of a lake. The old couple--a man and a woman--who had made fun of me earlier was there, with their friends, starting some sort of event. The lady was wearing a ruffled white off-shoulder dress, and I was fixated on her large, wrinkly arms showing under the cheap lace trim. I decided not to say anything back, though I wanted to. There was another dream in which I was at some sort of craft market. I remember being very aware of the demographics--older hippie types and younger punk types. I stayed by myself and browsed cute things. Hay decorated some of the displays. I ran into my friend David, who I have not seen in years, and they were looking more goth than ever, towering in enormous black platforms, raggedy clothes, a large hat, and Halloween makeup. They were super happy to see me and embraced me, when I noticed their teeth as they smiled, which looked long and animalistic. They told me they were getting some dental work done.
