flashing light in peripheral vision

so this isnt a dream but im really confused as to what exactly was happening to me. so last night i was watching tv and then i decided it was time to sleep so i turned the tv off and went to bed. it was pitch black in my room, yet for some reason i kept seeing a flashing of light on the right side of my peripheral vision. i was trying to figure out what the hell this light was coming from, but then i realized the light would be in a different place every time i moved my head so i couldnt find the source. this is when i realized the light wasnt coming from a physical object. mind you i do smoke weed before i sleep so maybe that had an effect on me but this is the first time ive ever seen a constant flashing light in my peripheral vision. has this happened to anyone else? should i be worried? i dont think anything is actually wrong with my eye i feel as if it has something to do with a more spiritual reason. let me know your thoughts below. i think this was a weird/cool experience nonetheless.
