driving to & from chicago for college every day, went to a cafe w good bagel

i had to go to college in chicago but i did not wanna move there bc i was too scared so we planned that my mom would drive me there and back every day. so we were in chicago before the school year started to practice what it’d be like there, so i went to a cafe nearby to order bc i knew i’d be ordering there a lot at college. it was empty besides the workers, so when i came in they all looked at me and rushed to the counters to take my order. i still had to look at the menu, but felt rly pressured to j order anything bc they were all staring at me, so i walked up to a lady at the counter & ordered noodles w an entree that i forgot, as well as a rly good looking bagel (it was an everything bagel w fluffy whipped scallion cream cheese & cucumber slices) & i THINK i also got some coffee. we had a good natural convo which was nice bc i knew we’d be seeing each other a lot. when i got the food i ate it at a table in the cafe w my mom.
