The realm of this dream was basically a parallel to my own. I was a young woman named Avery. Maybe about 24 at most. I had a younger sister named Dayn who was just a couple years younger than me. We were hanging out with our friends Cori and Jessi. The four of us on basically a world tour kinda trip. Our current stop down was in Sicily. We were visiting some of mine and Dayn's relatives. As we made our way back to the hotel… I noticed a shimmer of something watching me from the corner of my eye. I shook it off and the four of us headed inside. As the night dragged on I tossed in my sleep. I was certain we were being watched. I just needed to prove it somehow. After a bit of thinking, and typing some quick notes into my phone, I drifted to sleep. In this not so peaceful sleep I watched as Jessi got ripped apart by an unknown male assailant who seemed to be more than human. I watched as Cori and Dayn screamed for our fallen friend. I watched the horror frozen on Jessi's face. Worst of all I watched the glimmer of satisfaction on his face as he looked up at me, Jessi's blood splattering his face, and stated, "You'll see them all die." I shot awake after that and saw my friends all gathered around me. "We need to pack. Right now." They didn't question me. I've had premonitions before and those usually kept us out of harm. I just hoped I could keep ahead of this guy. I would sketch out the imagery on the ride to our next location to get a better idea of where it was. Thus a battle of wills began. I would toss in my sleep each night and sketch what I saw the next day. We kept hopping from one hotel to the next as the others tried to get a game plan begun to keep us safe. No matter how many times the scenery changed one thing was constant in the visions, he always killed Jessi first. Which meant she was going to be the catalyst. I never told them this factor. I just sketched and kept my sketchbooks as protected as possible. I didn't need them freaking out on Jessi. We would have to be a team if we were going to beat him. A couple months passed and we made it to Edinburgh. We were staying at a hostel and had backpacked up a trail towards some old castle ruins. Belonged to one of the clans of old but the name escaped me. Jessi's ancestors. That's about all I knew on it. When we got there we found him. The man who haunted my nightmares. Eyes glowing with bloodlust. A dangerous smirk plastered on his face. I moved Dayn behind me as Corri and Jessi stood in front of us. "Which of you has been spying on me?" The man asked in some twisted form of amusement. "I have." I growled out as we tried to back away from him. "Naughty girl. Weren't you ever taught to keep out of people's heads?" He snickered. Cori backed up more. She was trembling. Jessi stood her ground. Defiant as always. "Murder is worse." Jessi snapped at him. "Usually. Though ritualistic circumstances can make an exception here and there." The man told her and started towards us. "Jessi get back." I told her as I tried to figure an exact escape plan. Something that could get us all out alive. Jessi backed up as he moved towards us. She pulled some throwing knives out, knives I had no clue she even owned, and threw one that landed a bit deep in his shoulder. Jessi backed up more as blood spilled from his shoulder. She threw another that slashed across his shin as he tried to dodge. Her aim was better than I'd thought. But he wasn't backing down. Neither would we. I just wish I knew what he was so we could stop him. (Then I awoke.)
