An attempted Handmaid’s Tale Escape

I found out I was pregnant, but the world was kind of Handmaid’s Tale-esque so I was super afraid and knew I needed to run away and escape before people found out. There were a bunch of woman, some younger and some older, who were eager to help me secretly escape. They knew they were putting themselves at risk but they just wanted to see someone get out. There was this one guy in particular that was trying to track me down and I knew if he got me he’d kill me. I had this escape route all planned out that involved this wild underwater cavern thing below a high school. Part of it was a huge detour meant to distract the guy so that I could make my final run for the border/exit. I got him to take the bait and get stuck in the detour, but then I messed up and didn’t time things right, forgetting that my exit route intersected with the detour route at this one point. I barreled through a doorway and ran right into him as he was sprinting through the intersection of hallways and I just screamed because I knew I’d never make it now. I ran as fast as I could and got to this big basketball court/football field area surrounded by bleachers. Still, he was faster than I was and caught up easily. He instantly started fighting me and beating me up and I just kept screaming, begging him to not kill me. I fought back as much as I could but was easily overpowered. It was like he was blind with rage and just couldn’t stop stabbing me and tearing at my skin and my face and beating me up as violently as he possibly could. He broke like every bone in my face until it was just a bloody mess but no matter how much he ripped me apart I for some reason would not fall unconscious and I couldn’t even cry or speak or anything, just pray to die already. The whole thing was so violent and gory that I woke myself up and just laid there for a minute really disturbed.
