Reoccurring Childhood Dream

I used to have this dream as a kid almost every night. I haven’t had it since I was seven or so, but I had it so often that I remember most of the details. In this dream, I was always in a nursery or school-like atmosphere, where the school had three or four floors including a basement with a generator room, some classroom type rooms and a giant white spiral staircase with sheets hanging up around it. The whole school had giant open windows with sheets covering them and lots of plants. It was very country-looking if that makes sense. The dream would always include me, a teacher (who I never recognized), my best friend and a girl from one of my classes at the time. We would always be playing in the top floor of the school at the beginning. Nothing was out of the ordinary with the top floor, but I always felt like something was off. The room always gave me a really bad feeling even though we didn’t do anything scary or unusual there. At one point, the lights would go out and the my “bad feeling” would get much worse. The teacher would then tell us that we needed to get to the generator to turn the lights back on, and that we should follow her. We would then follow her down the giant spiral staircase (this is the part I remember most). The staircase had sheets hanging up around it for some reason. As we got closer and closer to the bottom, I would start to notice blood on the sheets and the stairs. I would get very scared at this pout because I was always the last kid in the line and the furthest from the teacher who was leading the way. For some reason, I don’t ever remember getting to the “generator” to turn the lights back on. I only ever remember walking down the bloody staircase and holding the girl’s hand in front of me as we went. We also never saw anybody else but us in the building or the source of all the blood, which was odd. I only just knew it was blood, if that makes sense. Sorry this was so long~
