I had a dream that me and about 30 other people went to Mexico (it was a tropical setting close to the ocean) and we were staying in someone’s basement. The girls were chilling on one side and guys on another. I said something jokingly that pissed off my friends, Marisa and Lindsay, so they all got up and went to the other side of the room. Later in the dream my little brother (that I don’t have) gets kidnapped and they left a riddle for me and my dad (Rick from walking dead) to find him. Everyone was searching for him all over the place but with no luck. I look down and notice that my shoes are missing. I come to the conclusion that my shoes were stolen. Still on the search for my brother, I was trying to make my way up a stone staircase cover in vines and tropical plants. Out of no where, some men throw a hood over my head and hit me a few times. My hands are bound by zip ties and I am led somewhere with the hood still covering my vision. Light trickles in through the threads of the hood as we walk. Finally we stop at a house, they rip the hood off my head and push me onto an old mattress lying in the middle of the floor. They announce that they are with the Mexican cartel. We start talking and somehow I end up on their good side. After smoking a cigar and sharing laughs with their leader they ask me to join the cartel because they think I’m hilarious. I explain my situation and how my brother is still missing. They decide to let me go look for my brother and even offer help but won’t give me my shoes back. I tell them if they ever need a connection with the gangs in Kansas City I’d hook them up. (I have no such connections lol. I suppose I was trying to stay on their good side.) I leave through some backyards and find my way to the ocean. Walking along the beach, I notice how beautiful it was. I feel the wet sand press between my toes, the cool salty sea air, the soft song of gentle waves and seagulls flying by. As I walk along I notice a cool flat stone the size of my palm at the base of a rocky formation near the water. I look closer and see a dry flake of something the size of a pencil eraser. It looks like a fossil but I couldn’t be sure. I place the flat bowl like stone in the ocean water and it revived what seems to be a very small Manta Ray. The small creature swam around inside the pool of water trapped in the stone. I wanted to try and show my little brother but it slipped out of the bowl and swam away into the ocean. It was beautiful. I tried to make it back to where I was to find my brother but people were a little freaked out by me. I think it was because a random guy with no shoes was wondering through their yard. They would stare or gather their children and rush them inside. It was a little awkward but I brushed it off and moved on. I went down some steps and felt a sprinkle. It starts raining lightly and by some luck I find my shoes at the base of the stairs. I set off to get back to my group but I see some beautiful indigenous cacti and succulents. After admiring how amazing they looked in the rain, I decided it was time to get going. The dream fades out and I wake up.
