Serial killer

Continuation of another dream I had a little while ago but didn’t remember enough to share it. I was a police officer in the homicide division and I solved a murder case. It was scary but fun. In this dream I dreamt I was the police officer, but this time I came to the crime scene having been working on the case already. The killer had killed a bunch of people in really strange cruel ways. A woman was found dead under a grate in this weird place underneath a highway close to a university. There were large traces of blood around the base of some plants in these big concrete pots near it. For some reason I thought the killer had stuffed her larynx in them. My partner didn’t think so, but I had a feeling it was. It seemed like the work of the killer from the last dream. He was a teenager. I knew he’d killed other people but we were never able to prove it. I started working at a mental hospital in the same wing that the teenage serial killer had been charged and sent to ask him some questions. There were a bunch of military veterans struggling with ptsd in the same wing and ex-cons who’d had head injuries. While trying to take care of him, I came across the families of the victims who were killed by this new serial killer as they tried to avenge their family member’s deaths. Then one day I came to work and the serial killer had become a baby and he’d been castrated... I realized I’d gone back in time and learned that the serial killer was actually born to a woman there and grew up in the psych ward until his mother committed suicide. I was really conflicted about taking care of him because I knew he’d grow up to become a serial killer. Part of me felt bad that he was hurt, but the other part felt like maybe I should just ignore him. Then he won’t kill anyone. But I didn’t I took care of him anyways. Then I woke up.
