Trying to call Chris

I received a voice and text message from my mate/guitarist and I was trying to return the call or text back the best I could. Tried calling, but couldn't find his name or number in my contacts. Decided to try and use WhatsApp to message him but kept running into signal problems during my various activities on the way to and in this house which was having a party.. I was supposed to be going to play a gig.. 1. Country road driving - no signal 2. Arrived in front of house, dark purple atmospheric lighting contained road like on a set. Load of drunken people outside having fun. Strange contraption like a stationary theme park ride appeared above the (now open-top) car. Faye didn't like it.. several different girls were looking at me strange and one came on to me.. I thanked her for her kindness.. couldn't find Chris in contacts 3. Ran inside through two rooms (naturally lit) where cake decorating was happening. Almost got roped into helping but escaped to the loo. 4. As always, very difficult to find a suitable toilet. Before I could go/find somewhere comfortable and private, the need faded. 5. Came into a slim arena space. Elton John looked at me and expected a reaction, I had none.. the team that arrived with him had a leader that got me started on wiring up the lighting (which was all fibre optics) for Elton's show, and I found I couldn't say no. Tried to message Chris but my phone had decided to reset to factory settings in my pocket. Left the arena to try and sort out my phone. 6. Out in the parking lot there were about 12 people dressed in exaggerated Halloween costumes (bold colours, inflatable masked versions of classic monsters). There was a drummer (Tally I guess, since he waved, but I couldn't tell because of the costume), bassist and backing singer, and a few people enacting a scene around some sort of coffin.. this was the rehearsal me and Chris were both supposed to be at. I eventually managed to send him all the messages that I hadn't managed to send which described the situations I had found myself in and the frustrations I had had. He replied saying that he couldn't make it..
