Expectation and reality

Ended with an expectation of someone invading my apartment, and I decide to leave out of fear, and then opening my door to get to the hallway and seeing the man with a knife, who then plunges toward me. I wake up and am paralyzed for a couple minutes and then turn over to go back to sleep. I remember concern for my cats when I was leaving but figured they would hide much better than I could. I don’t remember what happened before that.
