Dating middle school crush

I was so excited to be dating my middle school crush, Dylan. We went shopping together at the mall. The mall was something out of a horror movie though. One of the stores was made up of a series of rooms one after the other, each the size of a short hallway. We passed about 10 of these to find the fitting rooms. We tried on our clothes and then wanted to check out. We passed through another 10 of these rooms to get to the checkout. At the checkout, Dylan realized there were some shirts he forgot to grab, and he decided to go back. I was devastated thinking about how long it would take him to go all the way back and then all the way forwards again, plus the mall was about to close and there was no way he would make it back by then.
