Reoccurring theme?

People always mention reoccurring dreams. I never really thought I had a reoccurring dream until I realized, I more or less have a reoccurring theme instead over the last year; significant enough to make note of it. Over the past year or two I have had 5 or 6 dreams, that I can remember, about a relationship that I was in nearly seven years ago. I have been single since. In my dream I am either engaged to my ex, or we are back together. In the same dream, I will either break up the engagement or break up with him depending on the situation. Either way, I have been immensely relieved in my dream that we are no longer together. However, in both situations, he has been blind sided and thought everything was going well. I needed to note this, and if anyone has any feedback, I would be interested to hear it.
