Monastery with a view.

A group of friends and I were in a journey through a desert when we decided to stop in a small town in the middle of nowhere. It was a raggedy little town with one small store, a junk yard and just a dirt road with few other buildings. One of the buildings was a Hindu monastery with Buddhist decoration. I heard a lot of noise coming from inside so I walk in just to take a look. People were singing and dancing and proceeding to another room. One lady ask me to join them but I declined. They went about their celebration and I walked on looking around. Up ahead I saw courtyard with a beautiful yet simple garden in the middle. There was a somewhat large dark gray and black butterfly. She fluttered around and stopped on a plant in the garden. Out of nowhere a cat came up and killed it. I tried to scare the cat away but It crawled onto my leg. It was ugly and I became more aggressive to scare it away. I then picked up the butterfly to see if it was still alive but it wasn’t. I put it back down and when I looked up through the courtyards other gate I noticed a huge desert mountain range. It was just so beautiful. So hard to describe but just huge and beautiful. I wondered why, or how. out here in the middle of nowhere. In the second part of the dream I left the monastery to check out a junk yard across the street. I marveled at some old cars. I know it’s irrelevant to the main part of the dream but I included it cause it was part of the dream in general. At the end the people I was with went their way. The monasteries doors closed and I couldn’t find my car. In the end I felt silly that in a town with only some four Buildings I could lose my car.
