I was at this large convention very similar to teen arts from New Jersey, but I was with people exclusively from West Springfield, and this one girl who Stephen was friends with, and the location was at this VERY large luxury hotel. Stephen and I both performed in dramatic musical pieces of singing and then our respective instruments. Then he competed in a 5k race, and I competed in a series of acrobatic tests. After our individual events, we met with a large group of students to compete in various “feats of strength and intelligence” which were randomly chosen as tasks to complete by Ms. Leone. Students would progress through a sort of “competition” as they completed more tasks. To help me personally with the tasks, Ms. Leone gave me this beautiful gold ring set with a large flat green oval stone (which I think was Serpentine) surrounded by more green stones (which were either Malachite or Jade) with what I believe were runes inscribed into them. She called it “the ring of a thousand minds.” I wore it in conjunction with the rest of my rings. After the day’s portion of the competition, Stephen and I met up while walking through this series of maze-like hallways. There were countless large mirrors set on every wall throughout the maze, and I was beginning to become frustrated trying to get through the maze when suddenly, my silver moonstone ring began to glow with an amber light. The light would glow when we were facing the direction we needed to walk to get through the maze. The light would fade off when we needed to change direction, and we eventually found ourselves out of the maze in record time. Once out, we ran into Ms. Leone who was in this gigantic yellow ballroom-style dress. I returned her ring, after which I asked if she would mind if I took a picture of the ring because I had never seen anything like it. She said that she actually would mind, and then she walked away. I thought the interaction was strange, but I just laughed it off and walked with Stephen through more of the hotel. Eventually we ran into his friend who had apparently been setting records at the competition. She was a very tall, slim, brown-haired, blue-eyed girl, who looked very similar to Nancy Wheeler from Stranger Things. We all raced to a lounge area in a corner of the hotel and then collapsed into the seats with laughter once we arrived. I had never met this girl before, so I had to look at a piece of paper with a scoring she had received that same day. Her name was Casey something starting with a L. I asked how her events had gone, and she ranted about how well they all went and how she was setting new records for all these different performance types. She was very excited and both Stephen and I were happy for her. We then walked together to an extremely large atrium where the ceiling must have been at least 50 feet high, and there were three gigantic chandeliers leading to an enormous wall-size mirror lined with gold. Walking down the path set by the chandeliers, we found the elevators and called one to bring us to our room. Apparently, the three of us were rooming together in a large suite. Arriving at the suite, we all showered, changed quickly into night attire, and then went downstairs to figure out what to do. We decided to go to dinner at an Italian place that was at the top floor of the hotel (which gave me relief knowing that there was not a penthouse), and then we watched a movie together in the living space of our suite before going to our individual rooms and heading to bed.
