Someone in our Hotel Room + a Shooter

Seth and I were staying in a hotel room with 2 young kids who weren’t ours. They might have been relatives or friends though, because they were familiar and it was comfortable. We returned to our hotel room with the kids and found that the door was unlocked. We were immediately suspicious that someone had broken into our room. We quietly walked around holding the children in our arms. At some point I noticed a hand sticking out from under a bed. I motioned towards it to Seth and we got out of the room as quickly and quietly as we could. On the lower floor of the hotel were big shops, one of them was like a huge department store full of clothes. We went down to this store to get security guards to clear our room. We were sitting on the floor and they were talking to us/looking us over to make sure we were fine. While this was going on a sketchy man walked into the store and pulled out a gun. He fired it a couple times and then put the gun into my back pocket and ran away. I pulled out the gun, threw it away from me, and then ran down the nearest stairs and through the store. As I was running away my alarm woke me up.
