I am playing Spore: Galactic Adventures, customizing a planet. I select a river with sediment collecting at the end and drag it to 3 intersecting rivers. It looks funny, so I am not going to keep it there. Looking at two rivers who meet to form a natural dam of sediment, I admire how much thought the creators put into the game. I make a comment out loud, probably to my parents who are not visible. Scrolling along the planet, I pick an ocean filler and drag it over a deep valley. Ocean hue is a choice, but I keep the water clear. Now I am sitting in a yellow race boat. It is a slow one, and a very buoyant one at that. It has a roof. The controls are simple- just step in the gas pedal. There aren't any brakes, but at least steering is easy and precise. It is a sunny day. My Dad is teaching me how to use it, and I catch on quickly. I steer around a stuck boat with its passengers and squeeze by other people who are paddling in a canoe. The boat is in the air. I am leaned back even more, but poised in the same way. I do not think the boat is really there anymore, but I am still gliding over lush green grass. My surrounding environment is a well kept garden lined with rhodondendron shrubs. Formally dressed people sitting at tables are my obstacles. The tables are lined with wine glasses and tons of silverware that I must avoid. As I go by, they clap. I, too, am gussied up, so they must think I am going to a special occassion. Maybe they think someone got married. "I should dress like this all the time so people pay attention to me!" I joke. Everyone laughs. - I am racing uphill with my little brother on a small square skateboard. It does not get me far, so I comically pretend to be disappointed as he triumphantly stands at the top of the hill, giggling.
