J-Curve

I was in a dream where me and two of my other friends were trapped in this room that looped back into itself. The more rooms we traveled towards the right, the hotter it got. Eventually we got out of that room just by exiting it back where we came from, to the left. There was something about other people getting caught in this trap and perishing, and the only person who got out did something called traversing a dimensional j-curve. I was like, "how do you do that?", and it's just walking all the way to the right apparently.
