First lucid dream

Date: 5/25/2019

So I started this dream after I woke up early this morning. I wasn’t even expecting to dream let alone have a lucid one. At the start of the dream I was back my dream high school but not inside. I was standing outside of it and just feeling sad that I never had the chance to go it because I moved out of state before I could start high school. I was like standing across the street on this grassy lawn. I was sunny and peaceful. Then I could see my current high schools dance team right beside me. I looked Down to see I was in a dance uniform. Now I have never even been on a dance team and I’m not even that good of a dancer so I was confused to why I dreamt about a dance team. Then I was three adults who were working for Florida Atlantic university. They were looking for dance recruits. I started dancing and when I was done one lady came up to see and said to me how great I was and would like to offer me a chance to go to FAU. This isn’t my dream school or anything so that was pretty weird. I thanked her for the opportunity and they left. The dance team looked pretty Pissed off and did something about “I hadn’t even been dancing for that long” that’s when I realized that what they were saying is true. I became confused to why I was on the dance team. I then began following them inside this building. I can’t remember what building or what it looked like. I just found myself in this old long bathroom?? Idk I guess we were gonna practice in it which is weird. There was this bathtub that we all lined up in. The coach and the captain were talking about finalizing the dance for some event for the end of the year. I then saw my close friend Kylie. I then became confused even more cause she was never on a dance team either. I called her over and she came to me. Right when I was about to whisper in ear, “ when did we join the dance team” I noticed my fingers. It was involuntary. It wasn’t like I had a thought and said “oh let me look at my fingers” it was just like my head turned suddenly and now my fingers were in the view. I started to count them and I counted six. I then thought “omg I’m lucid dreaming” I guess I got too excited cause the next thing I know Kylie is saying to me “you got too excited didn’t you?” And I woke up. As I woke up I heard her voice echoing “didn’t you? Didn’t you? Didn’t you?” It was weird but exciting. It only lasted a couple of seconds but it was still so exciting how I am actually capable of doing it. I hope I have another one soon and the next time I’ll try not to get too excited.
