first lucid dream

Last night I lucid dreamt for the first time. I had woken up to pee and think very confusingly about what the hell it was that I did that night, since I had taken some Xanax. I then couldn't fall back asleep, but ended up in sIeep paralysis and used it to lucid dream. I remember being pretty excited, and most of what I attempted to do worked, but there was something I was trying to do that wouldn't work, I also at some point remember trying to keep myself from getting too excited and just follow the dream instead. But I woke up. When I woke back up I went back into a very vivid and good dream but ironically I remember barely any of it, that being that there was a lot of people near the end and that I think we were at my house. Sure wish I wouldn't have taken Xanax last night, I'm sure I could have remembered just about everything, but at the same time, that's what kept me up when I woke up in the middle of the night, thus allowing me to go into sleep paralysis
