By GuppyFang

My mom, dad, and I were at the doctor and the doctor brought some test back and explained that my dad had terminal cancer. I was standing in the back watching. My dad seemed shocked and I knew he would be devastated. I assume that my mom was upset. I was surprised that it was my dad and not my mom who was dying. My mom is much worse off for aware and has more health problems. I was wondering if any of my mental numbness was going to go away in time to say goodbye to my dad but I wasn’t very hopeful and felt bad about that.

AI generated interpretation This dream revolves around the fear of losing a loved one, in this case, your father, to a terminal illness. The doctor's diagnosis of cancer is a representation of the potential threat that you perceive towards your father's health. This may be linked to your subconscious concern about the possibility of your father being diagnosed with cancer in reality or your anxiety about your father's mortality. Your surprise about your father's diagnosis and not your mother's may mean that you expect your mother's health issues to be the more concerning of the two. This indicates that you may be carrying an emotional burden regarding your mother's health, leading you to expect worse from her health. This emotional weight may also relate to the mental numbness that you experience in the dream, which might be a manifestation of your emotional fatigue or detachment from your feelings. Overall, this dream reflects your concerns about losing your father, your anxiety regarding your mother's ill health, and the emotional toll these worries are taking on you. It might be a good idea to address these concerns and speak to someone close to you or a mental health expert to help you process these emotions.
