The beginning part of this dream I am distressed and walking around a large, beautiful house. I am wearing pink pajamas and am feeling overwhelmed. I decide that I need to call 911 to get into the psych unit but I don't feel "crazy" enough to warrant that. I grab a large kitchen knife and slice into my own neck in two spots. There is a part of me that is thinking it will be deep enough to be impressive or maybe they are too shallow. I start to get my stuff together, things I would need for the hospital and I change my outfit into a grey sweatshirt and red pajama pants. There is a man in the house that is extremely absent. I keep asking him if different things are okay and telling him I'm calling 911 and he is very non reactive. He seems just slightly older than me and handsome-ish but he's like gaming or distracted by his own thing. I call 911 and tell them what has happened and they say they are on their way. The next part of the dream I am at some sort of hall. It's like a gymnasium with rooms around it like a school. There seems to be some kind of dance competition... it's very casual and very fun but we're still trying to show off our stuff. I am in the hallway outside the gym space and watch as people go in. My lifeguard from the pool (butterfly tattoos) comes in very confidently and goes to dance. It seems like it is a Spanish dance from Mexico. She is very good and loads of people are talking about her natural talents. Another young man comes in and he has just immigrated here from Mexico. So it is like he is in the right place but he is having a hard time navigating the language, getting a job and fitting in. He has a bunch of small coins, maybe $2-$3 worth and it is apparent that he is looking for his money on the ground...just like whatever he can find. I think about how I have a drawer in my dresser of only small coins and I wonder how much I should give him. I think I give him $7-$8 worth. He is actively participating in the events and trying to create a good reality for himself. Learning the moves, talking to people, looking for money and showing his talents. Eventually we go downstairs to a different room, just him, me and a teacher of some sort. It's a cinema room and we start watching a movie. I really wish I could remember what the movie was but every 10 minutes the screen had to be moved. The Mexican man volunteered and he was running up the stage to help, it felt like it was me though. He now had a job! The end.
