Blood. Blood everywhere; in cracks and creases, in the boy’s clothes. Streaks of it was seen on the windows, little red hand prints as he wailed. The woman was destroying his toys and property with a smile playing on her lips. She parades around gleefully picking up random objects and smashing them with all her strength against the wall, the floor, any hard surface she could use. Then she touched his cello. The boy stilled, tears streaming down his face, as he watched her take the instrument in her cruel hands. “Don’t touch it,” he said distantly. “Only mama uses it and no one else.” The witch plunked down and sawed the strings off. The next moment opened with her screams as the child leapt onto her. He had a knife in his hand and already cut her throat. “Look at how pretty your blood is.” He crooned. “So red and shiny like the suckers mama gave me.” His unnatural smile crept the length of his face, an ugly chasm yawning before her. A piece of skin the thickness of thinning thread is what kept her head from rolling off. The witch lay blinking last remains of life at him, thrusting animalistically between her legs.
