Adjusting to this planet

I was with someone, a girl my own age, maybe a year older than me. She was taller than me. We were sisters? Exes? Friends? I don't know. But we were new to the planet and having a hard time for a bit figuring out how to earn money. Finally we stumbled into a job. It took four months but we finally got a check, the boss handed them to me and I was shocked. Mine was for $7000 and hers was for $10000. There was also another check for $7000 and several others I didn't check the number. I took them over to our home, her home? Their home. She answered the door, pulled me inside by the arm, and immediately began distracting me from telling her about the checks. They got lost for a few minutes, left on the stove top, as we did stuff and I had a moment of panic when I went to look for them and couldn't find them immediately. I was jealous she earned more than me. An older alien woman came out fk the bedroom, for a moment I didn't rwcoeher, but I soon realized it was Belanna Tores. She had come down with us, and when we arrived she was young, but she aged quickly here. Now she was nearly 65 and looking a bit frail. She was her typical angry self but she also needed care. Anyway time passed again and th enxt time I saw Belanna she was 104 and nearly dead. She had also had children, warriors, and set up contingent of warriors of her people and beliefs on this planet. I didn't agree with their tenets, because they planned war, but I didn't belong their either so I didnt feel I had right to complain. We worked in this building. At first it was a mere coffee shop but it had a tall tower and Iw as always trying to get up to the roof. There was a force field over the city protecting it and I once spilled glue over it and had to wipe it off. I did so from the ground, staring up and wiping as if I had a giant hand which was visible only to me. Once the man, who ran the coffee shop and was our boss, and I think wasn't from this planet either secretly have us a live goose when we asked for a certain amount of feathers. He did it to irritate me as I'm vegan and then took a baseball bat to its head. He was a guide down here, but we didn't hold the same beliefs.
