Carols yard and boyfriend

My friend was having some work done at her house and the yard people were asking for directions but she was busy talking to a construction person. Her boyfriend showed up after she told me they weren’t “going legit.” I walked away from him angry but they followed me. I asked her if I had heard right. She said yes they couldn’t get together because the bank refused their house loan. I told them to check with our lender.
