Island sanctuary

I was lost at sea, the middle of a dark vast sea. I was lost there for some time, stranded with a friend of mine though I did not see his face. A mattress helped us stay afloat for a while but slowly sunk to the bottom. I stood on the bottom of the ocean with water over my head, exhausted, suffocating and defeated. Then, I feel land under my feet and I am startled to find a very small island out in the dark night. It wasn't much, but it was safety from the water. My friend arises with me and I rise my arms up and scream with the feeling of revival and victory.
