Leaving class and getting lost

I was in a class taught by a large gray haired guy, who I believe was Dr. Lafaro from college. I was at an end desk, with Leann Keck beside me, and beside her two more girls. (Leann did not look like herself.) The classroom was rather tightly packed. Class ended and I stepped out of the way so the girls could exit. Then I returned to my desk and shuffled through lots of junk in it's drawers. Lafaro asked me what I was doing. "Just sifting through garbage," I replied. I exited the classroom with Lafaro and we were in a sparse but urban area. We talked as we walked, then he stopped to make a call on a cell phone. Alternatively, I was supposed to meet my dad somewhere but did not know where. I began shuffling through a paperback book to find that answer...but could not. Another guy, younger and lankier than me, in a red jacket, caught up to Lafaro and I and we both continued down a sidewalk that lead along a sunny field up to an old farmhouse. We all went inside. Inside the farmhouse, people were silently working at desks in side rooms. Lafaro took us to one such room and hung his coat on the door, instructing us to do the same. However the "hooks" remaining were not shaped for this purpose. I found I was wearing a navy blue overcoat, which I removed and tossed on to a couch in the room. The lanky kid placed his red jacket over the seat of a stool. Lafaro left and the lanky kid and I went out on the front porch. The kid locked the front door behind us. I pulled out a cell phone and tried to call my mom, but got an operator message that the call could not be made because I was beyond the borders of "Northshore." I told the kid I was going to have to get back in service but needed my jacket. He unlocked the door again, I went inside and retrieved it. On the way out, and orange poodle laid down on the floor in front of me. The kid was her master and told me the poodle wanted it's belly rubbed. So I rubbed it's belly...then woke up.
