Mind control

I woke up in a world like in the matrix. It was very futuristic, the architecture was magnificent and the land was very green and exotic. It was more of a mind control thing than being hooked up to machines though. I started off confused trying to figure out what was wrong with people . I couldn't figure out why they were so brainwashed and had no personality. The machines started to pick up on my change and I began to hide. I was able to find a couple of people along the way to help me. The way I found them was by going up and down levels in this world. It was like earth was broken up into thin layers and stacked on top of each other and you had to drive in a flying car or take an elevator to the next one. One guy I had a crush on in the dream was able to get me up a bunch of layers using this magic he was able to get control of. He told me that people who wake up from their mind control will develop powers of their own. I didn't know what mine was yet but I kept trying to figure it out throughout the dream. We get ambushed at one point and the guy I liked told me to run as he held off the machines. He knew of secret tunnels and I hope he made it there (I never get to find out if he did). The rest of the dream is me getting caught and the machines trying to take control of my mind again , I pretend they do so I can blend back into society and find a better time to escape. In the process I was badly hurt by having one of my legs smashed by a robot but at the last second someone swoops in and saves me for the time being...and the dream fades out.
