First Lucid Dream!

I had my first lucid dream last night! The funny part is, I wasn't even aiming for one because I had given up months ago. I tried every method and nothing was working! Yesterday I read a cool lucid dream recap and said meh, may as well do a reality check or two to get into the habit. Little did I know, I'd already be so accustomed to doing them that I'd do one later that night in a dream! Okay, here goes: "I woke up in my bed. I was parched. I have a weird feeling, like something wasn't right.. so I looked at my hand and saw that my hand was twice it's normal size, had seven fingers, and was bent in a very weird way. I immediately knew this was what they call a lucid dream. First, I tried to summon Chloe Grace Moretz to test my almighty new power of lucidity- didn't work. So I just raised my hands and told myself to fly. I flew right through my bedroom ceiling as if it wasn't even there. I sprung out into a city. Not a city I recognized. Not where I grew up, not one where I've ever been. I was slowly flying around, trying to figure out where the hell I was. I wanted to go faster. I told myself to go faster and tried to move as if it would make me soar, but it wasn't working. I couldn't go fast enough. After trying for quite a bit and getting stressed, I woke up in a cold sweat." The end! This is my first dream entry of any type, so should I tell my future dreams in present tense as if I was telling it as it was happening, or past tense like this? Thank you! I'm going to attempt to have more lucid dreams and share them. Have a good day and good dreams! -Paul
