Weird bug

I was in my grandma's house at some type of family thing, it seemed like, and I was in the corner minding my own business. There was a weird bug about the size of a small ant. No matter what I did to try and kill it, it just kept regenerating itself and growing as it did. Eventually it started growing crab-like legs and octopus-like suction cups and looked like it was having a hard time walking. I tried severing limbs, crushing the head, decapitation, and even fire. Not a single thing even phased it, as it just grew back together and morphed a little bit more while doing so. My dream was cut short after we decided to grab it with poles and drown it in the pool. I don't know if it would've worked, but I hope to someday find out more about my dream world.
