Night Time. I have to give a speech at the Hall. I was going to wing it, like always. I don't even know these people. Benefactors and local politicians, senior staff. But Wan tells me all the other speakers are well prepared and the President expects high quality. So I'm looking for a scrap of paper to jot some points down, perhaps some interesting historical moments from the Hall, guests and characters. Then two passenger planes fall from the sky, falling in slow motion as everyone runs to the window to watch the bright trail of lights. Sirens from afar. Screams. No speeches today! Too much terrorism. In the basement, there's a large pool behind industrial doors, an ocean-sized pool with some very large whale-shark creatures eating people in the dark. We are trying to fend them off from a floating raft made of paper mache. I fall into the inky black water but climb out before the get me. I exit back through the doors to the wet room where staff are spraying down giant pails for the next round. There is imminant danger of an invasion and we must go camping to escape. I want to travel light and go through my things to see what I really need. A coat. A couple tarps. Flashlight. Knapsack. Comfortable clothes. The others have left and I must catch up but I am missing my cell phone, definitely a must have. It could be anywhere. I borrow D's phone to call myself so I will hear it. I guess her password. I can't find her call app. I keep scrolling her apps but they are all for cartoons.
