Where Neither of Us Know Boundaries

I was with Diana at her house (in the dream she had a different home than she does IRL). We were visiting, she fed me, we did laundry. The laundry was a joint thing, we did all our laundry together. I didn't have much, maybe I didn't bring that much to be done. She seemed to begrudge the distribution after it was clean and folded. Anything that was mine, especially newer items like blankets we got to match, she seemed reluctant to give. The matching blanket was a graveyard. She also fed me, enthusiastic at first but as the cooking went too long or as something went wrong at the last minute she seemed unhappy and reluctant. I think there was macaroni and then we had hot chocolate. She, at the last minute when adding hers, put marshmallows on mine. As I'm vegan it spoiled the whole thing. She didn't want to make it all over again. I cobbled some together from the remaining chocolate fudge cake we'd made it from. She wasn't aware, I did it in secret. She was just fed up. In the middle of the visit I went outside and the forest was alive and wet. I saw lots of little animals, and nearby was a pond fill of critters, apparently they all were poisonous. I found some puppies that belonged to my mothers cat, maybe kittens, no definitely puppies. But it was more like finding toads in the forest, you don't take them out, you just admire. They were happily wedged in a leaf, like little slugs. But these little guys were sick, they were swollen up. Too much salt I speculated. I said, to a male friend to found them with me, that they needed to soak in salt water to remove the salt. They were on the verge of dying. I raced them back into the house, into the bathroom, and gave them a bath bathing off all the salt. I used soap, the more I did this the more the swelling went down. They had normal loose skin again. They were livelier and happy. I saved them. I felt so much relief. I never did need the salt water. While I did all this Diana called me on the phone. She needed me for something, pick this out now and I will give it to you, if you don't you lose it. I kept on with the puppies, literally unable to answer. I think the piece she was talking about was this mantelpiece ornament. It looked like a little rooftop with a bat on it, but it really was a cigarette ashtray. I had loved it when I saw it but she said she needed it for wireless connection. It didn't seem her style at all. Later I was so hungry I forgot I was vegan and ate a leg of chicken on the sly. I hoped she wouldn't notice. She had plenty there, a big bowl if them in the fridge. And I felt like I was starving. She asked me about Veggie Tales, wanting to know if she should watch it or was it all about zombies. I said it's hardly about zombies at all. In fact I wasn't aware they'd ever done a zombie episode. I told her it was a cute show, if a bit religious. She seemed reluctant still, as it was so religious. I told her there was something called silly songs which weren't religious at all. She had been given a copy of the whole series on VHS (the whole series apparently fitting on one) and seemed to want to know if it was worth watching.
