Middle School Autonomy

Somehow I’m in a middle school again; never been in one like this in real life. Something happened and there’s different groups of kids who are somehow turning on one another. The principle is literally a random guy. There’s 23 students in total. All I remember is our rights for certain things are being taken away. I walk into the gym and ask the principle to talk. He ignores me. He’s sitting on a stage with benches lined with plush seats rowed in front. I stand on the seat instead of sitting down. Some kid says “wow, we’re y’all.” I keep my hand on the whole time the principle speaks about having rights and democracy. As if he’s speaking to little kids. Other kids put up their hands like me, but he chooses me since “I raised my hand the longest”. I’m about to serve him with the biggest L of life and I wake up.
