Blind

It was a nice summer day and I was at school. There were two sections, one was for people with disabilities. We walked over to the disability one because we were just taking a stroll. Then we ran into M with her mom. She acted a bit strange but eventually asked if we wanted to get lunch. At a round table at a nice patio restaurant we spoke. M explained over summer she had been helping out here and then we realized she had had an accident and become blind. It was heartbreaking but M was so brave. Then all of a sudden the sprinkler went off next to us and everyone was getting wet. I tried to turn it off but couldn’t. Two other men also tried. Then M stood up and easily knew how to turn it off. I was so impressed that even though she was blind she was was more capable than everyone else. In my dream I really internalized what I might feel like being blind. I thought how bored she must be not being able to read but also realized if anyone could learn brail quickly it was her.
