A drugged cult

In my dream my boyfriend, daughter and I met these people who were in a cult. They came to our door and were talking about this miracle drug that made society perfect and peaceful and offered some to us. I had this dark certainty that if we refused their offer they would kidnap us and drug us themselves. So we agreed, they gave us these large neon syringes and I pretended to inject the fluorescent green liquid into my arm but actually let in drip down the crease of my arm, and got my family to do the same. The second they believed we had all taken the drug they forcibly began hustling us onto a bus to take us to the place where their cult lived. On the bus we got some sort of briefing. We learned that the drug makes people monotone and complacent. It kept you from thinking too much and feeling any emotions. However, amazingly some people were still able to experience love as it was the most powerful emotion and it couldn’t be completely numbed in specific people. They were referred to as everyone else as “the lovers” we decided we would pretend to be lovers and were thankful because we could stay so close together without suspicion. The entire cult lived in one hugeeee building. Most of it looked like an old hotel inside. Lots of brown, burgundy and beige. My boyfriend Braden and I got our daughter storm all settled into our new bedroom. It also looked like a typical hotel bedroom with two beds and a little bathroom attached. We locked storm up in there and told her she could play but very very very quietly and if for some reason anyone did come in she had to act completely sullen and uncaring. We had to go get food for us because we were starving but we were scared to bring her with us because we had no idea what it was going to be like. There was a grocery store inside of the building and we went in. Everyone around us looked like a zombie and we did our best to look the same. We held hands with each other, but loosely and stood an unnatural distance apart from each other. When we got to our turn in the line Braden had a moment of anxiety that was visible. We weren’t any money and he wasn’t sure how the system here worked. The cashier noticed the anxiety and seemed confused by it but also uncaring and gave us a food card and let us go. I think we got figured out because of this situation though, either that or we just got scared by it and decided we needed to act right away. We started stabbing people through the heart, and killing as many officials and workers as we possibly could.
