Shot a girl

I was at a party with a bunch of other people, when all of a sudden one girl pulls out a gun and threatens me and all the others with the gun. She drops the gun and I grab it, as a defense for myself and all the others. The girl starts walking towards me and I fire the gun once, through her leg. She sits down and I shoot again, right through her heart. I hear someone behind me say 'Right through the heart'. I drop the gun and everyone at the party gets insanely mad at me. The next day at school I get stared at and get distusted looks from everyone. Everything is dark. For some reason the girl who I shot, didn't die. I see teachers and students crying. After a class, I walk through the hallways when suddenly the rector of the school grabs me by my throat and pulls me with her, off to somewhere. While we're walking there she mumbles a couple of words, including the name of the girl I shot. Then, we arrive at a room that looks like a court, which I didn't know we had a court room in school. I see a bunch of strangers sitting behind tables, and at the left I see a bunch of my former friends, and also the girl who I shot. To me she looked like nothing happened to her. I don't dare to look anyone in the face and stare down at the floor. We are asked to sit down at the court tables. Then there is a blurry part, but all I remember is that the judge says I have to do 20 hours of community service, as a punishment for the crime I have committed. Normally, someone who has killed a person, ends up in prison, but I guess since I'm sixteen I can't go to prison. The girl who I shot yells that in her opinion I deserve a bigger punishment, but the judge disagrees.
