Water and beasts

I was swimming in a lake of water trying to go to someone in a boat. I can’t remember who it was I’m pretty sure it was a male. Then all of a sudden I felt something touch my foot like seaweed. I then felt something wrap around my leg and it was a snake underwater. But the snakes tail was tied to the tail of a rat, which was slowly coming up from the water and making its way to my face. The rat was trying to go up and the snake was trying to go down which made both animals very angry. They then curled up in a ball and I woke up in a cold sweat
