Surviving the nuke

For those that have seen my nuclear warning dream I promised to post a dream I had a while back where we were actually hit by a nuke. In my dream I was sitting in my bedroom chair one night next to the window when all of a sudden a really bright flash (almost like a giant camera flash) shined through my windows. It lasted for maybe a few seconds and about a minute later I hear a gigantic BOOM that sounded something like an epic roar of thunder. The flash didn't blind me like it would in real life so I looked out and saw the mushroom cloud. I rushed into the storage room in my basement and used a device to detect gamma rays, a minute or so later I saw them creeping under the door (a bunch of green squiggly lines)
