All my possessions washed away

I'm in a lecture hall watching the male professor speak. Pancho is with me on a leash and the professor orders us out. We go and file out the door to the lightly crowded hall to the foyer, exiting to the beach in Montevideo. I've been moving and my possessions line the beach. It's going fairly quickly and I'm more or less pleased. I get into the water and there's a kid with me, very young. Maybe five maximin. The water is rocky and jumps from going up to my hips to nearly chest even though I'm maybe eight or ten feet from the shore. I see the kid again and he's doubled over underwater. I grab him and pull him out and shake him upside down but I'm still not sure he's breathing. I'm worried. I run into the shore and hand him off to his mom, explaining what happened, and then run on my way to the rambla to meet Meredith and uncle Paul. As i approach, I see a short of shrine set up for my uncle with all kinds of wine and berries and vinyl. I joke that is as if he going to Valhalla, accidentally mispronouncing it with a k instead of h. Meredith repeats it but louder and he corrects her. We throw a few jokes out and they go well. Andrew and TJ are taking care of pancho on his leash. I go out to see them and carefully step onto the rock they stand on. They've hidden Pancho underwater and think it's funny. I see it and I'm terrified they've killed my cat. I pull him out of the water and try my best to make sure he's breathing and okay. He starts to recover but I'm still concerned. With Pancho on a leash i go to walk the beach and collect all the items from my move from the shoreline. Suddenly, the realization hits me. Everything will be washed away. The kitchen spoon floating in the tide, the salt and pepper shakers, the kitchen table and chairs. They're all going out into the gray waters and will float out to sea. I run from where i am along the beach and try to toss everything i can to the shore. Things are clanking against each other, maybe breaking, and i yell out a warning to my parents as they solemnly realize the same. Lucas is standing in the water and having a lovely time. I've got a bucket in my hands now where my tortoise pooped and i need to clean it out. It's just too close to the shore. I try to go in anyway to clean it but quickly get hit with the same water that washed out the poop. Lucas watches innocently and I'm feeling nervous.
