Ghost visit was it dream or real

This was about 5 years ago, but I recall it today because it was so real. I had been driving home late at night in rl and had grown tired on the 3 hr trip. I was so tired that I had to pull over in Fresno CA because I was falling asleep at the wheel. Again, this is rl. Barely able to keep my eyes open, I pull behind a Dennys thinking it would be safe all lighted. Unbeknownst to me, this was somewhat of a skid row location with prostitutes, junkies and homeless. My daughter was about 8, but I had no choice since I was so tired. I fell asleep immediately only to be startled by a large black man rapping on my window. Kind as he was for telling me I had left my headlights on, I still jumped out of my seat. I thanked him but somehow he thought I may decide to pay him for washing my windows at 2am. I declined and attempted to start my car and get the hell outa there! But by then my battery had gone dead and I had to get a hotel room nearby. My little girl and I scurried quickly across two parking lots to a Budget 8 Motel which wasn't all that bad inside and by then I felt safe enough and the room was tidy and clean. We had our own bed and settled in until my husband could jump start me in the morning. After having been asleep a bit, I opened my eyes to find a Mexican man kneeling at my bed. He was so remorseful and was begging me to forgive him. He was so sorry and I could strongly empathize with his pain. At the foot of my bed stood a tall lanky white teenage boy. He was just there and it was hard to read his emotions considering his head was missing.! It has occurred to me lately that perhaps the Mexican man was remorseful for killing the boy. I had done research and nothing had come up relating to such a crime at that motel or in Fresno from what i could tell. It was so real I thought It must have happened. Strangely I wasn't afraid and drifted off to sleep. I'm assuming now it must have been a lucid dream.
