Night desert with Theo

I was standing beside my car in a sandy white but scrubby desert at night. My dog Theo was standing with me, unleashed. My car was not running. Suddenly, a truck pulled up behind my car. Their headlights were on and the people inside were talking loud like they were drunk. The shadows changed on the ground and I lost track of Theo for a moment. When I found him again, I scooped him up and put him in the car. Then got in the car and drove away from the truck. I did a U shaped path so that I could look to my left and see the truck about 30 feet away. I suddenly realized I had lost track of my phone and scrambled to find it. The phone was sitting on the passenger seat with Theo.
