Stalked by the Grim Reaper

I remember a couple of scenes. First I was walking up a street that was a lot like the street that I live in but it wasn't. I felt like I was being followed by something, my best description is a Grim Reaper. I walked onto a vacant block that had been excavated. Sure enough the thing followed me onto the block. I cross the road and the scene ended. I am driving, can't seem to remember if I was going somewhere in particular but I didn't know the roads and I was worried that I was getting lost. Finally I come to a T intersection that says Berwick to the left. I now know that I'm not lost, but for some reason I decide to turn back and go back the way I came. Final scene, I am in an office building. I see Chris B and Geoff G who I used to work with. I go up to Chris who is working. We briefly exchange pleasantries and then I say I want to catch up with Geoff. As I approach, without lifting his head, Geoff says "Don't bother". This leaves me hurt and confused.
