Back to Work & TMI Floor Conversations 🙉

I came back to work after a weeklong staycation (true story) to find that my team's desks were rearranged and my former partner, Trevor, rejoined. When I found my desk, I sat down and started straightening it out since some stuff was moved around. As I was doing this, Omar starts having a loud floor conversation with another colleague. He's apologizing to her about his conduct in a meeting. I thought to myself how odd this situation was because 1) they aren't on related teams so why would they be in the same meeting, 2) neither of their teams would make sense near mine and 3) it seemed like it should've been a private conversation. I reasoned that maybe Omar wanted to have it out in the open to demonstrate leadership transparency and accountability, but then he mentioned something along the lines of, "I know we're kind of dating, but..." and that rationale went right through the window. Also, as his best friend, I was perplexed as to why he never told me that. I turned my attention back to my desk and saw that I had a Hello Kitty x Little Twin Stars plushie. If you inverted it, you could switch been the two twins. I was trying to stand it up against a wall near me when I realized all the rolling white boards were replaced with mirrors that served as dividers and they had a bunch of notes already written on them. I started to erase a portion of it to write "KING KITTY" behind where I placed the doll and it was so difficult because the ink was old and it took me (what felt like) 15-20 minutes.
