Out of control

So I was driving the box truck at work and it was super sketchy (it’s so sketchy in real life) we were driving through down town lake worth and I noticed it was driving super weird so I tried to stop but the brakes wouldn’t work and it wouldn’t stop speeding up. I was coming up on cars at a red light so I turned it off and had to pull the emergency brake to stop but I still had to go around them and park in a drive way. We got out and a cop told us we were lucky to be alive, we looked at the tires and they were all in very bad shape. Brianna came to we’re I was and gave me a hug to comfort me cause I was all shook up. The my boss came out and said that he knows guys who would be fired for something like this and I argued with him for a while because I had no control over the situation.
