I was with my mom driving around town and made a left to the entrance where Chili’s was. We looped around the parking lot to make a U-Turn and headed to the Clark Commons. As we we made the U-Turn this country song came on, and it was one that we both haven’t heard in years. My mom was asking me if I remembered it, but I vaguely did. She blasted the radio louder and I was listening to the words and the melody. Apparently, the song was called “Out the Window,” by some single named country artist, whose name I don’t remember. The song talked about the difficulties establishing patience with his son a a child and as he continued to grow into adulthood. I remember one of the lyrics said, “I laid on my stomach for 20 seconds, and when I got up, I KNEW I WAS RIGHT!” I can’t remember all the lyrics, but in the chorus of the song he sang, “it’ll go out the window,” which happened to be the title of it. The song was over and we parked at the Clark Commons. My mom was dropping me off at the Michaels there. I was almost finished eating a corn muffin and I asked her if I could finish it before I left. She said just to eat it as I was walking and throw it in the garbage bin. So I took a few more bites and threw the last remaining piece out. Then my alarm went off ⏰. Perfect timing!
