I was on a foggy moor with 2 female friends. It was evening and we had sat ourselves next to a lake. On top of the lake we puffs of purple algae, the size of footballs, made of feather like leaves. They gently swayed, the moon highlighting their feathers one by one. I placed my hand in one, we didnt know at the time that they floated on a lake, they felt like nothing they were so soft. My friend Beth, who's feet were close to the algae, suddenly got pulled in, the sounds of water parting rapidly and the mass of her body being dragged further along the bank. Me and my other friend Ash retreated from the water edge, we saw Beth climb out of the water and rejoin us breathless. I noticed she had a bite wound on her ankle. She told us not to worry and that she'll get an antiseptic plaster from the nurse. I watched her walk to a modern building to the side of a manor house. Me and Ash talked over what just happened and both agreed that the algae was bad and something lurked in it. Beth returned looking ok and sat back down. We did the same and all agreed to stay a metre away from the algae. We got lost in conversation and little did we know the algae had crept ever so slowly towards us. It brushed against my feet without me knowing. I turned to see it focusing it's feathers on my crotch. I was stunned and speechless. Then before I knew it I was dragged across the water by my ankle. The creature let go and I swam for my life. I was able to pull myself onto the bank, my friend pulling one of my arms. With my feet still in the water I was bitten again. This time I lunged at it, grabbing its neck and pulling it above the purple fluff. It was too heavy so I could only lift the head and neck out. It had a skeletal neck about a metre long, no fat on it just skin barely covering its vertebrae. It's head was like a bird skull, sunken eyes, if any, and it's "beak" narrowed to a leech mouth. Judging by how powerful it is I let it go in fear of another bite. I had a circular wound, raw and bloody on each ankle. Ash put her arm around me and Beth escorted us to the nurse. The modern building glowed with sickly hospital lights, the door was open already. We walked in and saw tiled floors and lockers, like a gym changing room. One one side were the toilets and showers for females, the other side for males, and in front I assumed was the nurse's office. Betsy left us to go there and I wandered around to find people. There were two girls with swimsuits on, one was tying her hair in a bobble ready to go. Ash asked where they were going, they replied "It's a nice night for a midnight swim" "You can't go out there," I said, "it's dangerous." They didn't listen at first but after showing the wounds they looked a little nervous. I told them that I think it can only stay in the algae. Betsy came back in defeat, "Can't find the nurse anywhere" I looked at the entrance door still wide open. "How long has this been open?" I had a shaky voice. Everyone jumped on track that the creature may be in here, been as the algae can move maybe we thought it could travel further than expected. We closed the metal door hastily and I examined my wounds. They were still raw with no sign of healing. I looked in the male side and found a man who was very tipsy. He fell to the floor, losing his motor skills. I dropped to him saying "sir are you alright?" He said in a weak voice that his neck hurt, it ached. I put him into the recovery position (me and ash are first aiders irl so luckily this man was in good hands 😂) I lightly felt his neck and it was full of pressure. I told him to stay as is just in case he lost consciousness, it looked like he couldnt move much anyway. Then I saw a cockroach looking thing, longer than a normal cockroach, about the diameter of your finger and thumb (👌) and a length of 3-4 inches. It surried along from this guy's trouser leg and tried to climb up my leg. I flicked my leg out multiple times till I shook it off. I tackled it, wrapping it around my hand. It squealed in a disgusting voice and tried wriggling out of my grip. I checked the guy's leg and saw a familiar wound. I studied the bug, wondering how I'd kill it. Ash and Beth looked concerned at how that may come out of Beth and my ankles. But then I thought, 'why would the creature let us go? And why would they leave the host alive with a swollen neck? AND why did it try climbing up my leg?' I came to the conclusion that the algae monster was the female, and that she must've laid eggs in us and an entry for the male to crawl in and fertilize the eggs. He then leaves the eggs to develop while traveling to the host's neck, where they can feed on our brain matter, which would explain the guy's behavior, and once ready they could either burst out of our necks or into our mouths and leave that way.
