I’m in a beach condo like Turquoise Place (but I don’t really remember it looking like turquoise place at all) when suddenly there are these large blimps and airplanes zooming around. People gather around outside to watch, confused. I run to the roof and hear a weird “plunk” noise where the blimp is over a tall building farther from the coast. It blows up and collapses to the ground. Everyone starts running around trying to evacuate but I stay frozen watching the blimp head closer to the coast and take down another building. Part of me doesn’t want to move and just go down with the building-to feel those final seconds of they choose to blow up the building. The blimp is getting really close now and some people on the highest floors have decided to jump out of the window with things like blankets above their heads to try to break their fall because there probably isn’t enough time to run down all the stairs. Suddenly I snap out of it when I remember my family and run to the roof exit and run down the stairs. I skip lots of steps and somehow don’t end up breaking my legs. I’m guessing the bomb hit when I was around the third or second floor because as soon as I got out I turned around and the building already started collapsing. People were still jumping off balconies and windows. I sprinted to get as far away as possible the next time I turned around the building was rubble and the blimp had been shot down by an airplane and was falling from the sky. Then what felt like a slight time jump or maybe just traumatic disassociation: im walking amongst people trying to find their families and see an emergency tent set up in the distance. When I enter, I see my sister at a round table with strangers her age (16) eating food. She sees me and we embrace, crying hysterically.
