Anastasia

In my dream, it was as if I was watching the animated film Anastasia, except it was a little different. The animation was pretty much the same, but it started by showing Dimitri, who lived with his mother and friend Vlad in this run-down apartment in Russia. Even though his mom thought he was crazy, Dimitri was set on finding Anastasia, the lost princess of Russia. One day, he was sweeping the front porch when he saw Anya walk by. She looked so much like Anastasia. He asked Anya to stop and she did, and he asked if they could talk. Anya is a survivor, and this freaked her out a little, so she was going to run when Dimitri basically forced her inside his house (he was a little more childish and younger in this version of the movie, and Anya was more quiet). He kept her there, and she tried to escape before he explained himself. She was still hesitant, but then Dimitri and Anya realized they knew one another as kids. They had a brief memory of the two being stuck on the streets in winter and having the survive. Anya agreed to travel with Dimitri to Paris to see if she really was Anastasia. When Dimitri’s mother and Vlad saw Anya, they were set that she was Anastasia. They traveled. One night, they had to sleep in this outdoor shelter area in the snow, when this sort of mystical woman appeared. Anya saw her and began to run, but the woman cornered her. She reminded Anya of the deal they had made when she was a little girl. Dimitri came and watched from a distance. The woman reminded Anya that when she was young, she was hardly able to survive on her own and was near death until the enchantress came and offered Anya food, water, and shelter in exchange for demands. I’m not sure what the demands were, but the woman handed Anya a list before vanishing. Dimitri took the list and told Anya he would help her meet the demands. When they returned to their camp, snow was on the ground and Anya was freezing, so Dimitri offered to let Anya sleep with him for warmth. As first she refused completely, but then became desperate and agreed. One of the demands was that Anya fall in love, and both Anya and Dimitri were starting to love one another.
